ShareThis The CIA at Copia Expanding the College’s Presence in Wine Country and Reestablishing an Innovative Food and Wine Destination There’s a new food and wine lover’s dream in Napa! In fall 2016, The Culinary Institute of America at Copia will open its doors to visitors and the local community. After acquiring the Copia property in late 2015, we’re excited about carrying forward the facility’s original goal of providing amazing food, wine, and arts-based experiences. Situated next to the Oxbow Public Market on First Street in downtown Napa, this newly expanded California venue will provide an array of food and wine offerings for visitors to the burgeoning Oxbow district. Coming this Fall The Restaurant @ Copia Victor Scargle leads our culinary program as executive chef for The Restaurant @ Copia. The 90-seat restaurant features an array of shared plates presented in a manner that we are calling American dim sum. These dishes will be served tableside by CIA chefs. Or join us on our spectacular casual outdoor patio with a wood-burning oven and bar. Diners will savor dishes inspired by the Napa Valley harvest, CIA gardens, and modern cooking techniques, while enjoying perfectly paired cocktails or wines. Three private rooms offer more intimate dining and tasting experiences. Retail Store This on-site lifestyle retail store offers shoppers high-end linens, pottery created by local artists, cook- and bakeware, items for the home and garden, books, knives, glassware, and so much more. Guests may also be treated to in-store demonstrations and book signings as they shop. Special Events The CIA at Copia is available for special and private events, including company retreats, lectures, dinners, concerts, and weddings. If you’re interested in renting space at Copia, please contact our special events department at 707-967-2307 or email@example.com. Tasting Experiences The CIA at Copia will offer a number of tasting opportunities throughout the facility. Our Reserve Wine Salon in The Restaurant @ Copia features an exclusive assortment of rare and fine wines not readily available to consumers. Visitors can learn (or brush up on) tasting techniques, the winemaking process, and anything wine-related—a unique experience for both the seasoned wine aficionado and the burgeoning wine lover. Food & Wine Demonstrations Copia’s demonstration theaters present a wide range of cooking and dining events. The ongoing program series features both our faculty and a rotating calendar of visiting guest chefs and wine and beverage all stars. The Food Forum hosts culinary and beverage demonstrations three times a day, seven days a week. Demos cover culinary techniques, pairing principles, wine tasting techniques, region-specific wine insights, tricks of the trade, entertaining tips, and much more. The Food Business School The CIA at Copia is home to The Food Business School (FBS), the college’s new center for executive and graduate education. The FBS broadens the CIA’s commitment to the future of food education and leadership with specialized programs for executives, recent graduates, and mid-career explorers.
