Spicy Mango Chutney

Spicy Mango Chutney recipe by The Culinary Institute of America

Ingredients

Makes 1 3/4 cups

  • 2 cups mango, chopped (about 2 medium)
  • 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 tablespoon jalapeño, minced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste

Directions

  1. Combine the mangos and brown sugar in a 2 1/2 quart saucepan.
  2. Add the vinegar, raisins, jalapeño, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper, bring to a boil and simmer 15 minutes.
  3. Transfer to a clean storage container. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
