CIA's Strawberry Honey Butter recipe

Makes 1/2 cup

  • 1 stick (4 ounces) butter
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons dark honey
  • 1/4 cup minced, hulled strawberries
  • 1/8 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  1. Mix butter until soft. Add honey to desired taste and continue to mix until honey is incorporated.
  2. Add strawberries, orange zest; and teaspoon fresh lemon juice, mix.
  3. Place in an airtight container, pipe onto parchment paper, or place honey butter on parchment paper and roll into a log.
  4. Refrigerate until butter is firm, about 2 hours.
Chef's Tip: This recipe can be made without fruit. Try making Orange Honey Butter by adding only 1/4 teaspoon orange zest and 3/4 teaspoon orange juice.
